Newcomb Institute, Tulane University
For Newcomb Institute’s annual Zale-Kimmerling Writer-in-Residence program, I developed a suite of promotional graphics for the 2024 featured guest, acclaimed author Tayari Jones. The visual identity for the campaign was inspired by the cover art of An American Marriage, reinterpreted through the lens of Newcomb’s branding to create a cohesive and visually compelling event presence.
The graphics were used across digital and print platforms, including posters, web banners, email headers, and social media to generate excitement and ensure consistent messaging. By blending the literary tone of Jones’s work with the Institute’s signature color palette and typography, the campaign elevated the program’s prestige while reinforcing Newcomb’s commitment to amplifying women’s voices in literature.
